Hi, I’m Becca Spencer

…a multi-talented creative with a deep passion for storytelling and a love for bringing meaningful stories to life. Whether I’m acting, screenwriting, or producing, I’m always chasing work that feels authentic, impactful, and just a little fearless.

As an actress, I grew tired of not seeing meaningful, layered stories that truly represented people of color, minority women, and other disenfranchised groups. That frustration pushed me to fully immerse myself in honing my screenwriting and storytelling craft by any means I could get my hands on. Self-study, table reads, screenwriting books, YouTube, and plenty of trial and error all became part of my process. For me, writing is like breathing. It’s part of who I am and how I make sense of the world around me. I developed this voice while earning my psychology degree at the University of Texas at Dallas, where curiosity and creativity constantly overlapped.

I’m tenacious and I know how to hustle. Diving deeply into the craft of writing has not only strengthened my voice as a storyteller, but it has also made me a stronger actress, allowing me to adapt and evolve depending on the needs of each story.

I’m a co-founder of the indie production company Fearless Arvo Motion Pictures, LLC, where I’ve written, produced, performed in, and worked on several film and theatrical projects. My first screenplay, Andromeda Jones, won a screenplay competition in 2016 and was later produced by the Dallas Film Alliance. In 2022, I wrote and executive produced the award-winning script Lotus, which was nominated for Best Texas Narrative at the 2024 Denton Black Film Festival.

Beyond my own projects, I love collaborating with other creatives, building community, and continuing the work of amplifying diverse voices while telling bold, honest stories.
